Future Initiatives

STOP THE OVERDEVELOPMENT

Raritan Borough is facing INCREASED OVERDEVELOPMENT and HIGH-DENSITY BUILDING that threatens its small-town character, infrastructure capacity, and general quality of life. Armahizer believes that growth must be responsibly planned and guided by the community's needs- not driven by unchecked, profit-focused development.

FULL BUDGET REEVALUATION

Raritan Borough needs a FULL and TRANSPARENT reevaluation of its budget in order to ensure every tax dollar is spent responsibly and aligns with resident priorities. A comprehensive budget review will allow us to identify savings, eliminate inefficiencies, and help stabilize taxes for the long term.

WELCOME SMART BUSINESS

Raritan Borough should actively welcome SMART, WELL-PLANNED businesses to its Main Street and Route 202/206 commercial corridors that strengthen the local economy and community character. Thoughtful commercial growth can create local jobs, expand the tax base, and reduce the burden on residents.

RECREATION & ACTIVITIES

Raritan Borough should EXPAND ON ITS RECREATION and COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES- with a stronger focus on restarting it's youth sports programs, as well as more events for adults, seniors, veterans, and environmental enthusiasts.

RIVERFRONT UTILIZATION

Raritan Borough should better UTILIZE ITS RIVERFRONT as a hub for events, concerts, and other forms of community engagement. Thoughtful collaboration and planning of this space can attract visitors and reconnect Raritan residents with one of the Borough's greatest natural assets.

STOP THE TAX INCREASES

Raritan Borough residents are being hit by REPEATED TAX INCREASES and NEW SERVICE COSTS that are becoming unsustainable for families and seniors. Raritan MUST get spending under control and stabilize the tax rate in order to maintain affordability for residents and their families in the Borough.
